Aboard Chapter Autism Support Group

724-238-2325 ABOARD’s Autism Connection of PA is the largest autism support group network in Pennsylvania, sponsoring over sixty groups across the state. The majority of our support groups are by and for parents of children on the autism spectrum. These groups provide support for managing the daily stresses of raising a child with autism. Group members meet regularly to share practical advice for raising children on the spectrum, and work together to maximize the potential of their children. We also sponsors several social groups for teens and adults on the autism spectrum. These groups are facilitated by autism professionals who provide a safe and supportive venue for individuals with ASD to socialize, practice conversational skills, and share special interests.

Accessible Dental Services

Includes dentists, anesthesiologists, nurses and dental support staff, all of whom are familiar with and sensitive to the needs and concerns of patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. When required, Accessible will offer Professional Anesthesia Services by the anesthesia team.

724-804-7000 The primary goal of the Family Advocacy and Support Program is to bring families through a strength-fo- cused process that will help them reach their desired goals, whether that is related to parent/child advo- cacy or parent mentor support. To achieve the goals laid out, there are two levels of care that a family can participate. The Parent Mentor and Child/Parent ad- vocate levels of care provide a supportive, family-cen- tered approach that respects the family’s culture and values. The Family Advocacy and Support Program will work with the family to identify the service they need as well as connect and develop their natural supports and community resources (family, friends, and faith).
